Sheetal Sheth spent Thursday afternoon, 21 July 2002 reading her children’s book series, Always Anjali and Bravo Anjali, to children and their families in the Waterfall Pavilion of Riverside Park.

The bright smiling faces from Findlay, Ohio engaged with Sheth, telling their stories and giving their opinions. It was a splendid afternoon with free Anjali books, Kona Ice, new friends and a lot of laughs and love. Children walked away feeling encouraged to internalise their greatness, regardless of what makes them unique.

Thanks you Amy Leach for having the great idea of having these conversations in your community.

The event was hosted courtesy of Blanchard Valley Health System and Findlay Hancock County Community Foundation.

Reading in the Park is free and open to all.

Sheetal Sheth’s widely acclaimed children’s book “Always Anjali” and its sequel “Bravo Anjali” tell the story of an American girl who overcomes challenges and peer pressure to embrace her heritage.
